The Rollerblock modules, rounded and resized to perfectly fit within the leg system, are Symposium’s best. Highly polished, they’re made of the very hard 7075 aluminum, and contain 2.5ppm Superballs. Further, each Rollerblock module contains a patented system of neodymium magnets that both center the ball and reduces the ringing that occurs when it moves in the cup in response to vibrations. But the magnets are not so powerful that they hinder the ball’s rolling, and thus its isolating effect.

The Osiris Ultimate contain more Rollerblocks than Symposium’s other racks. The three-shelf Ultimate, for example, includes two levels of Rollerblocks, for a total of eight, vs. one level in the three-shelf Basic and Standard racks. According to Bizlewicz, placing Rollerblocks in series provides Symposium’s patented Compound Isolation, which greatly increases a rack’s powers of isolation.

Optional OFC (Oxygen-Free Copper) Leg System

What's even better than solid, aircraft-grade alloy aluminum? There's only one practical candidate in nature - solid oxygen free copper, the best practical material for any rack or stand support (only pure silver would be a better mechanical conductor, but is not practical). The leg system of an equipment rack is of vital importance; its quality affects all aspects of sonics, including bass, imaging, harmonic integrity and more. Symposium racks have always been constructed of solid aluminum, which is superior to steel, brass, wood, plastics, and hollow metal tubing - even if filled with lead or sand. Filling hollow legs with lead shot or sand is done to damp the severe resonance of hollow tubing, a problem that does not exist with solid aluminum or copper legs (which are self-damped and acoustically "dead"). Lead shot or sand fill also does not improve mechanical grounding efficiency, which is the primary function of an equipment rack's leg system and absolutely critical to rack "performance."

All Rollerblock Modules in OFC Osiris Racks are supplied in special edition 7075 aluminum version (as shown in photo at right), made with premium grade, super-strength 7075 alloy and hand-polished to a near-mirror finish.
